The Cartagena Carnival, declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, is holding its International Poster Competition. The aim of this contest is to select the official image that will represent the upcoming carnival festivities in the city, becoming the central element of the event's promotion.

The competition is open to artists and creators from around the world, who may submit original and unpublished works. The winning poster will be used on all communication materials for the Cartagena Carnival: posters, programs, digital media, and promotional materials. In addition, the artist of the selected poster will receive a prize of €1,000.

Competition Rules

The poster theme is open, but it must reflect the spirit of Carnival and representative elements of Cartagena. Entries must be submitted in vertical format, on rigid support, and using any technique. Each participant may submit up to three entries. The phrase
“CARNIVAL [year], CARTAGENA – OF REGIONAL TOURIST INTEREST” must be included.
